we will be attending the Microscopy & Microanalysis 2019 (M&M show) in Portland, Oregon, where our ColorSEM will be unvailed and showcased by ThermoFisher. Come see our newest analysis tool, the Thermo Fisher ColorSEM, at booth 1122. The ColorSEM merges the SEM image with X-ray mapping in real-time.

Houston Electron Microscopy is starting its 9th year with a big colorful splash by proudly announcing to be the first laboratory to obtain Thermo Fisher’s innovative ColorSEM. Typical SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) images are in black and white, but the ColorSEM combines conventional imaging with elemental analysis in real-time, instantly mapping different color hues and transforming a greyscale image into a color image. This allows for a completely new way to observe and analyze specimens. The worlds first ColorSEM will be delivered to our lab by the end of August. New in our lab - ThemoFisher's Ni10 for microFTIR - Our organic microanalysis is accomplished using microFTIR, enabling molecular analysis of particles as small as 15-microns.
As a top scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy laboratoy, we do our best to keep our clients up to date on the latest advances and enhancements in materials science, materials characterization, failure analysis and SEM/EDS services.
Houston Electron Microscopy has a state of the art SEM/EDS and the equipment to handle the preparation of specimens for SEM/EDS analysis, from sawing, metallography, to gold sputtering. Same day or next day service is available in most cases.
